It all kicked off ... we had features, "Have you heard of a gnu?" "How __ just ... pronounce "gnu"? Some people think it's [gnu:], some people think it's [gnu:], some / [nu:] / all kicked off again. __ __ __ absolutely gone bananas on the phones. So ... __ ... possibly the world's greatest misuse of 10 pence. ... I also looked up the pronunciation of "gnu", and, according to National Geographic, it seems to be pronounced both ways. / Huh, there you go. ... To solve that problem, a friend and I wrote "Gnu" in big ... / Somebody's done our research for us, mate. / to solve the problem, a ... a friend and I wrote "Gnu" in big text on a piece of paper and held it out of our window, stopping people in the street to ask how they would pronounce it. ... The outcome of our survey, while somewhat favoring Barry, ... as a number of people needed "Gnu" explained, was overwhelmingly in favor of [gnu:] over [nu:].
